Free
An Introduction and Alternative Perspective to Thinking About Fatness

About this event

What’s your relationship with fat? Is being fat a choice? In what ways is our culture fat-phobic? How can we move away from shame and towards radical self acceptance?

Join Social Worker and researcher, Amanda Hollahan, for a workshop that will include alternative perspectives to how we think about fatness as we deconstruct the ways fat shaming has been woven into the fabric of our culture.

Together we will dive into:

  • Diet Culture, Weight Stigma, Anti-Fat Discrimination
  • Responses to Anti-Fatness
  • Radical Self Love & Moving Away from Shame
